The primary operation of WSNs is to accumulate the data or information sensed from the surroundings and relay it to the base station for processing further. In this research work we have proposed a hybrid approach for optimization of WSN. Routing protocol by taking advantage of the chain based protocol Power-Efficient Gathering in Sensor Information Systems (PEGASIS) strategies and optimization techniques Fuzzy logic, Genetic Algorithm (GA),and Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA) and their combinations, thereby, enhancing the overall lifetime of the WSN.
