India has also undergone a remarkable transformation over the last two decades. Before looking at some specific changes within the country, it will be useful to recount the manner in which the world perceives India today. The first and foremost defining aspect of India today is that it continues to be a democracy notwithstanding the huge diversity and disparity that prevails in the country.
India became independent after the Second World War along with a large number of other countries. The generally accepted wisdom then was that democracy and poverty cannot co-exist together. That democracy and inequitable distribution of wealth don’t go together. This theory was proved right by most countries that started out as democracies after breaking off from the colonial yoke but very soon descended into depths of autocratic or authoritarian rule or military dictatorships.

ASEAN and India share a dynamic relationship which occupies a significant place in India's foreign policy. The relationship involves historical, geographic and economic ties which have evolved over the years undergoing a transformation under different phases. The association between the two actually gained momentum in the early 1990s with the "Look East Policy" which currently has developed into an action-oriented and dynamic "Act East Policy" since November 2014. India is also an active member of several institutions and multilateral forums like the ASEAN Regional Forum, BIMSTEC, East Asia Summit, Asia-Europe Meeting and various other forums which bears testament to the close ties between the two.

The election is a part of political process in the democracy and for every political system also employs the election as a symbol of the democracy. However, if the election is corrupted in process itself, it is clear that the democracy based on the election may fraud. Therefore the cheating strategies in the election will destroy the democratisation that the citizen would like to have. We can empirically summarise that under the cheating process, there are at least 12 patterns which are bribing the arresting officers, bribing the referee, managing the ele - ctioncentre, blacking out the electricity. When counting the vote,n egotiating not to fight, threatening, buying all votes, having money the election agents, having enough resources, blundering to win and gambling.
