Biodiversity Conservation in the Era of Climate Change

Duration – 1 Days
Date – 18 Apr 2026
End Date – 18 Apr 2026
Venue -IITM , Janak Puri

Climate change influences biodiversity through both direct and indirect pathways. Temperature increases can disrupt physiological processes, breeding cycles, and migration patterns of animals. For example, many species are shifting their geographical ranges toward poles or higher altitudes in response to warming conditions. However, not all species can adapt or migrate at the same pace, leading to population declines and potential extinctions.
